Having a child in crisis is the most heart wrenching trial a parent can endure, regardless of how a situation develops. Whether the situation is based on a medical challenge, mental illness, peer pressure, or trauma, families often come to us after having tried various traditional supports such as guidance counselors, therapists, psychiatrists, and/or addictions specialists with mixed or little success. At times all that is needed is someone to coordinate and monitor care, while at other times more intensive therapeutic support is needed. Whatever the situation, let us help you by offering compassionate counsel based on our knowledge of what is possible and what might be an appropriate course of action for your child.
We offer warm, nurturing support for our clients during difficult times. We locate appropriate specialized programs and work as part of a team with other professionals including psychiatrists, teachers, and/or therapists to follow a client’s progress. Challenges range from neurobiological, emotional, and/or environmental origins (personality disorders, developmental trauma, OCD, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, attachment issues), to substance abuse or addictions (including addictions to computers), and/or to poor personal choices.
Because of the intensely private nature and individuality of therapeutic needs, we do not list the programs we have used. However, we use only programs that are fully licensed and accredited, and we do not receive monetary compensation from programs for referrals, nor do we work with programs that offer compensation for referrals. We work for you!
