Educational Directions performs clinically comprehensive evaluations to assess cognitive abilities and academic performance. We use DSM-V criteria to identify learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit disorders, executive function disorders, and social/emotional weaknesses such as anxiety that hinder school progress. We assess individuals from six years old through adulthood. Once a report is generated, we sit down with you to help you understand what accommodations and remediations your student may need in order to make effective progress.

We attend IEP meetings at a parent’s request to discuss relevant findings and recommendations based upon our assessments.  At other times, additional information may be needed such as an observation within the classroom setting, or parents may want to explore alternative schools or programs. For any of these or other reasons, a consultation may be the best first step.
