Dr. Eileen Antalek, Associate Director

Eileen Antalek, Ed.D. is the Associate Director of Educational Directions, Inc. She has worked in education for more than 28 years, and began working with Educational Directions, Inc. in 1995. Prior to that, she worked with learning disabled, culturally disadvantaged, emotionally challenged, and international students at the college level, specializing in organization skills, reading comprehension, and written language expression. She also served as an academic advisor to learning disabled students as well as to students on academic probation. Dr. Antalek has taught and tutored high school as well, and is licensed by the state of Massachusetts as a School Psychologist. As such, Dr. Antalek has worked with many public school districts and state run programs to determine appropriate steps for students. She has presented at local, regional, and national conferences on specific learning disabilities and the importance of appropriate evaluations in determining next steps. She also presents to schools, local Sped PACS, and professional groups, including Grand Rounds. Dr. Antalek has conducted over 1,000 evaluations over the course of her career and has helped numerous families find services in private, therapeutic, post-graduate, and college options based on individual needs. She has also worked with adults to find appropriate drug and alcohol rehabilitation services. Dr. Antalek is a professional member of IECA, and is a Certified Educational Planner (AICEP). She an affiliate member of NATSAP, and is a member of: the American Psychological Association (APA); the Asperger’s Association of New England (AANE); CLD; CEC; and IDA. She served for five years as a member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Branch of IDA (MABIDA), and currently serves as an affiliate member on the Government Relations Committee of NATSAP, which dedicates time to sifting through legislation and child safety issues at the state and national levels.
